Introduction
Welcome to SRCsim, where we focus on General Aviation add-ons for Flight Simulator 2004.
“Ninety-five percent of the roughly 220,000 civil aircraft registered in the United States are general aviation aircraft” - AOPA Online
We love jets and warbirds, and fly them frequently in FS2K4. But we feel that the large General Aviation population is seriously under-represented in the Flight Simulator community.
GA consists of all aviation activities other than regularly scheduled airlines and the military. In the real-world, that is where Ric makes his living, and is his primary interest. From modern production airplanes, to antique aircraft, homebuilts, and biz-jet charters, they are all part of GA.
Projects
Aircraft - Currently under development are two popular homebuilt aircraft, the Mustang Aero Midget Mustang and Mustang 2.
Instruments - A variety of gauges to fill up your GA panel are under development, inculding a vertical card magnetic compass, tachometers for a variety of engines, a typical electronic Engine Instrument System, and a variety of "utility" gauges - switches, labels, and more. All of our gauges are FS2K4 XML gauges.
Avionics - Many avionics exist that are only used in GA aircraft. We plan to bring a wide varity of these
to you. Currently under development are comm and nav radios and transponders.
The Icom IC-A200 communications transceiver - a standard, 6.25" panel mount radio - will be available as Com 1
and 2.
The Microair 760, a comm radio designed to fit a 2.25" panel opening is also under development as Com 1 and 2.
The Narco Nav-122D Nav Receiver/Display - a complete Nav unit that fits in one 3.125" instrument hole - will be
available as Nav 1.
The Microair 2000 transponder - another 2.25" mounting unit - will be available as well.
