My desire is to present well-researched papers and easy to follow projects for anyone who might find them useful. The first is my ever-expanding, never-ending Byzantine project, which has generated enough interest that I decided to go ahead and request that these pages be set up sooner than I had originally intended.

My Byzantine research and ensemble development was begun early in the spring of 2004. I had no idea how difficult it would be to find all of the information I felt I needed to assemble a complete and correctly constructed outfit. Every little tidbit I discovered, posed several more questions - and off I went in search of answers. I want to share what I have discovered so that the search can be easier and less frustrating for others. Anyone who wants to do so should be able to put together a complete outfit from the information offered here. However I still haven't found all of the answers to my questions (let alone yours), so don't expect perfection. Consider my work a helping hand and a starting point for your own research.

I welcome comments, please get in touch if there is something you would like to say.
